Technical Writer
The Technical Writer - Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Guides / DITA will support a technical publications team focused on migrating, maintaining, and developing product documentation within Adobe Experience Manager Guides. This role will play an important part in the team's transition from Adobe Frame Maker to a structured authoring environment using AEM Guides and DITA-based content management.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical writing experience, knowledge of structured authoring concepts, and hands-on experience working within AEM Guides. This individual will help manage reusable content, documentation structures, and publication workflows while ensuring content quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:- Create, edit, update, and publish technical documentation using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Guides.
- Work within DITA-based structured authoring environments.
- Support migration, stabilization, and maintenance of documentation moving from Frame Maker into AEM Guides.
- Manage book structures, reusable content, and topic-based documentation.
- Identify opportunities for content reuse across multiple publications.
- Create and maintain complex documentation elements including:
- Tables
- Embedded images
- Conditional references
- Structured topics
- Review and update migrated content to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Support documentation lifecycle processes from development through publication.
- Collaborate with technical teams, engineers, and subject matter experts to validate content.
- Follow established writing standards, formatting requirements, and quality processes.
- Manage assignments through team workflows, including backlog, work-in-progress, and completed tasks.
- Provide regular updates on project status, progress, and potential blockers.
- 4+ years of experience as a Technical Writer or Documentation Specialist.
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Guides
. - Experience working with structured documentation environments.
- Understanding of DITA/XML-based authoring concepts
. - Experience creating and maintaining complex technical documentation.
- Ability to manage content structures, reusable topics, and publication workflows.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on documentation quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned deliverables.
- Experience with Confluence and SharePoint.
