Data Scientist

POSITION SUMMARY

The Data Scientist I supports internal AI and analytics initiatives by applying foundational AI, data science, statistical, and programming skills to solve well-defined business problems. The incumbent focuses on building, evaluating, and documenting AI, analytical and machine learning solutions under guidance, while ensuring results are accurate, interpretable, and aligned with business context. The Data Scientist I partners with senior data scientists, analytics engineers, and business stakeholders to translate analytical work into clear insights that inform decision-making.

Develops and evaluates statistical, machine learning, and AI models using appropriate performance metrics, with guidance from senior team members, including data cleaning, feature preparation, exploratory data analysis, prompt engineering, LLM-based applications, and model evaluation. Conducts hypothesis testing, time series analysis, and basic causal or experimental analysis to assess impact and identify trends. Transforms analytical results into clear, actionable insights that answer defined business questions.

Participates in the end-to-end analytics lifecycle, including analysis, validation, basic deployment support, and measurement. Contributes to maintaining and improving existing analytics solutions and models. Documents solution design, analytical
