You will be working for our client, a leading broadband communications provider that delivers high-speed internet, cable TV, and phone services to residential and business customers across the US. In your day-to-day, you will Develop and maintain Python and Ansible automations for network engineering workflows. Build backend automation for provisioning and deploying networking equipment and related systems. Work with APIs and data pipelines. Write low-level (and some high-level) design documentation. Troubleshoot and optimize existing automations. Collaborate with senior engineers and network engineers to shape best practices and Agile user stories.
Skills you have Strong Python programming experience. Hands-on experience with Ansible and network automation tools (NETCONF, Netmiko, NAPALM, TextFSM, SNMP, direct CLI). Strong background in backend automation, API development, and data structures. Solid SQL/database experience. 5+ years of network engineering experience (or a Computer Science/Software Engineering degree with strong hands-on automation and scripting experience).
Skills that will make you stand out Experience with JavaScript and React for web applications. Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift). Understanding of Dev Ops best practices and CI/CD workflows. Exposure to data pipeline tools like Apache Airflow or Talend. Certifications such as Cisco Dev Net, Juniper Automation & Dev Ops, Red Hat Ansible, or AWS/Microsoft Dev Ops.
