WMS Production Support Consultant — Infrastructure / SQL / Linux

We are seeking a WMS Production Support Consultant with strong experience supporting warehouse management systems in production environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with WMS application/infrastructure support, Linux or Unix, SQL troubleshooting, logs, scripting, cron/batch jobs, deployments, configuration changes, and system monitoring
.

Experience with
Manhattan WMOS/WMS is highly preferred
, but candidates with strong production support experience on other major WMS platforms are also encouraged to apply.

The consultant will work closely with WMS Operations, Distribution/Control Systems, Infrastructure, and application support teams to troubleshoot issues and maintain reliable warehouse operations.

• Provide production support for enterprise WMS applications and environments

• Perform application and environment restarts following maintenance or configuration changes.
• Monitor application servers, nodes, processes, and system health.
• Analyze application and system logs to troubleshoot UI, transaction, integration, and performance issues.
• Use SQL to investigate data issues, affected orders/items, transactions, and WMS failures.
• Manage cron jobs, scheduled processes, batch jobs, and task releases

• Support application deployments, configuration changes, reports, labels, and other environment artifacts.
• Troubleshoot WMS transactions, interfaces, integrations, and warehouse‑related processing issues.
• Investigate wave, allocation, inventory, shipping, invoicing, and other WMS processing failures.
• Identify root causes and coordinate with development, DCS, infrastructure, and vendor support teams for resolution.
• Perform server/application configuration and core system administration activities.
• Support diagnostic logging, log collection, incident investigation, and vendor support cases.
• Configure and troubleshoot WMS integrations and endpoints where required.
• Assist with failover testing, connectivity validation, and load‑balancer‑related troubleshooting.
• Develop scripts or automation to streamline recurring environment support activities.
• Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and operational procedures.
• Participate in production support and incident management activities.

• 7+ years of application support, infrastructure support, production support, or related experience.
• Hands‑on experience supporting a WMS platform in a production environment
  .
• Manhattan WMOS/WMS experience is highly preferred; experience with another major WMS platform is acceptable.
• Strong proficiency with Linux OR Unix command line
  .
• Strong SQL skills for troubleshooting and data investigation.
• Scripting experience in any language such as Shell, Python, Perl, Power Shell, etc.
• Experience with:

• Understanding of WMS integrations, interfaces, and warehouse transactions.
• Strong incident troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills.
