Cyber Security Analyst AQ

Please note: This position is available on a W-2 employment basis only and is not open to Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements. The client is also unable to provide employment-based visa sponsorship or transfers for this role.

• Deliver operational processes for data security, specifically related to Database Activity Monitoring.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to information security risks, including policy violations and threats to databases.
• Support security operations, risk management, and engineering teams to mature the data protection program.
• Continuously learn, solve complex problems, and contribute to the team's advancement in data security.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed documentation.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with peers and cross-functional teams.
• Experience effectively communicating complex security concepts to business teams.
• A strong passion for designing and implementing solutions to automate manual processes.

• Relevant professional certification (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CIA, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 1+ years of security experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Data Protection concepts, including Data Loss Prevention, Encryption, Data at Rest versus Data in Motion, and Unstructured versus Structured data.
• A solid understanding of information security best practices and technologies.
• Experience with Python, SQL, and/or Power Shell.
• Analytical background and approach, particularly in event classification, event correlation, and root cause analysis.
