Individual Underwriter

Job Description

Our client is seeking three Life Underwriting Consultants to evaluate high-volume, AI-enhanced life insurance cases remotely. This role will require you to leverage AI-powered decision engines to support swift and accurate risk assessments.

• Review and evaluate high-volume RUW cases with no medical exams or APS.
• Utilize advanced AI decision support systems to inform underwriting judgments.
• Make risk assessments based on complex digital evidence and third-party data.
• Collaborate with the underwriting team to refine AI models and decision processes.
• Maintain detailed documentation of case evaluations and decisions.

• Strong production underwriting experience
• Experience with LLMs, machine learning models, accelerator models or automated decision engines
• Ability to quickly navigate and interpret complex decision support systems
• Ability to operate effectively in a high volume, data organized environment
• Targeting at least one candidate wiling to work a schedule that includes a weekend day; open part-time hours on the weekend (ex. 4 hours every Saturday) and a flexible work schedule (4 hours every Friday)

The anticipated pay range for this position is $35-$40 per hour, based on experience. We understand salary is an important factor in a job search, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel that your desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
