the Role

The Bilingual Mandarin Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing and facilitating projects that require seamless communication between English and Mandarin‑speaking stakeholders. This position ensures that project objectives are met on time and within scope by coordinating resources, schedules, and deliverables across diverse teams. The coordinator acts as a cultural and linguistic bridge, translating complex information and fostering clear understanding among all parties involved.

By maintaining detailed documentation and tracking project progress, the role supports effective decision‑making and risk management. Ultimately, this position contributes to the successful execution of projects that span international and multicultural environments, enhancing collaboration and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project activities, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery of project goals.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between English‑speaking and Mandarin‑speaking teams, facilitating clear and accurate communication.
  • Translate and interpret project documents, communications, and meetings to support bilingual collaboration.
  • Monitor project progress, prepare status reports, and elevate issues or risks to project leadership as needed.
  • Organize and schedule meetings, workshops, and presentations involving cross‑cultural stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, and correspondence.
  • Support the development and implementation of project plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Assist in resolving conflicts and addressing challenges that arise during project execution.
Required Qualifications
  • Fluency in both Mandarin and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Proven experience in project coordination or management, preferably in a bilingual or multicultural environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in international business or cross‑cultural teams.
  • Familiarity with industry‑specific terminology relevant to the projects being managed.
  • Knowledge of additional languages or regional dialects related to Mandarin‑speaking markets.
  • Experience with remote collaboration tools and virtual meeting platforms.
Work Schedule

The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including a one‑hour lunch break each day. Please note that this schedule is flexible and may be subject to change based on the employee and employer’s needs.
