Technical Services Representative

• Provide phone coverage during set business hours
• Communicate with customers to answer inquiries and resolve issues
• Process incoming phone inquiries, emails, chats, and voicemails
• Process Return Merchandise Authorizations as needed
• Create custom wiring diagrams for customers
• Recommend needed parts for door locking applications
• Process information in CRC Dash, related programs, JD Edwards, Microsoft Office, and other required software
• Collaborate with other departments to meet customer needs
• Operate within and improve Tech Support work procedures using lean manufacturing principles
• Document quality issues through provided software and provide evaluation reports to customers as needed
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and share it with Sales Representatives, customers, team members, and employees
• Assist customers with technical product information and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems
• Resolve customer complaints, concerns, and issues
• Assist with technical training and mentoring
• Assist with lead times, pricing, change order requests, tracking, and discrepancies
• Perform other assigned duties or projects
• No supervisory responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum of two or more years of technical training in mechanics or electronics
• Strong technical skills
• Two to five years’ experience in a customer service related position, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
• Proficiency in MS Office, spreadsheets, email, and order processing software
• Working knowledge of inventory, manufacturing, and database software
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence in English
• Ability to present information and respond to questions in English
• Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Solid mechanical aptitude, including understanding of electronics and circuits
• Proficiency with equipment such as a voltmeter
• Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Ability to apply common sense understanding and deal with problems involving several concrete variables
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, use hands, reach with hands and arms, communicate clearly, and lift up to 10 pounds
• Ability to work in moderate to loud noise and near fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and moving mechanical parts
• Conformity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements
