Real Estate Attorney (5–10 Years’ Experience)

Sonja Cotton & Associates is conducting a search for an accomplished Real Estate Attorney to join a highly sophisticated, full‑service law firm with a premier real estate practice. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney who enjoys complex, high‑level transactions and wants to work on some of the region’s most significant development projects.
The PracticeThis role offers exposure to a broad and dynamic range of commercial real estate matters, including:
- Acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real property
- Master‑planned communities and large‑scale residential developments
- Home builder projects
- Retail shopping centers, office buildings, and mixed‑use developments
- Multifamily and industrial projects
- Land use planning and development strategy
You will work alongside respected real estate attorneys representing sophisticated developers, investors, and institutional clients.
What We’re Looking ForThe ideal candidate will bring 5–10 years of meaningful real estate transactional experience
, including:
- Significant real estate closing experience
- Strong title and survey review and analysis
- Advanced drafting and negotiation of:
- Purchase and Sale Agreements
- Commercial Leases
- Joint Development Agreements
- Construction and escrow agreements
- Experience drafting CC&Rs, easements, and related development documents
- Ability to identify material risk issues and provide practical business solutions
- Strong academic credentials and excellent written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters while collaborating effectively with clients and internal teams
Arizona Bar admission required.
