Litigation Attorney
This is a full-time hybrid position based in Phoenix, Arizona. The Litigation Attorney will manage civil defense matters from inception through resolution. You will handle cases involving auto liability, general liability, and premises liability, taking ownership of files and working directly with clients.
About the Role• Develop and manage civil litigation cases from intake through trial
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Manage discovery, including depositions and written discovery
• Appear in court and argue motions
• Participate in mediation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations
• Provide strategic legal advice and client representation
• Maintain strong client communication and relationship management
Attorneys are encouraged to take active trial roles and build hands‑on litigation experience.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage civil litigation cases from intake through trial
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Manage discovery, including depositions and written discovery
- Appear in court and argue motions
- Participate in mediation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations
- Provide strategic legal advice and client representation
- Maintain strong client communication and relationship management
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- Active membership in good standing with the Arizona State Bar
- 1 10 years of civil litigation experience
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Excellent negotiation and oral advocacy abilities
- Working knowledge of civil litigation procedures and practices
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
Experience in insurance defense, auto liability, general liability, or premises liability is preferred but not required.
