Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Immigration Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide expert legal counsel and representation on immigration matters, ensuring clients navigate complex immigration laws and policies effectively.
Responsibilities- Represent clients in Master Calendar Hearings, Individual Hearings, and Bond Hearings before the Phoenix Immigration Court
- Prepare and file family-based petitions, asylum applications, U-visas, VAWA, AOS and naturalization cases
- Develop individualized case strategies
- Provide in-person coverage at USCIS interviews; respond to RFEs and NOIDs
- Guide paralegals and legal assistants on case preparation, filings, and deadlines
- Stay current on immigration policy changes, executive orders, and case law developments
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active bar license in good standing in at least one U.S. state or U.S. territory (Arizona licensure is not required)
- No history of disciplinary actions, suspensions, or disbarment by any State Bar
- Current on all CLE requirements and bar dues in licensing jurisdiction(s)
- Eligible to practice before EOIR (Executive Office for Immigration Review) and USCIS
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in immigration law, including removal defense / EOIR proceedings
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
- Proven ability to manage a full caseload independently or with minimum supervision
- Admission to a U.S. Federal District Court(e.g., District of Arizona) strongly preferred for federal habeas, mandamus, and appellate litigation
- Arizona bar admission or admission in a different state is acceptable
- Experience with detained docket cases (Eloy / Florence detention centers)
- Familiarity with INSZoom, Docketwise, or comparable case management software
