Job Title: Real Estate Paralegal - Hospitality & Leisure (AZ)
Talantage is recruiting a full-time Real Estate Paralegal to join our client's Hospitality & Leisure Practice Group. This position will report to the Practice Group Leader and work closely with assigned attorneys on sophisticated real estate transactions across the hospitality and leisure sector.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and coordinate due diligence, including review of title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and underlying documents.
- Assist in the preparation and review of conveyance and closing documents.
- Manage all aspects of the closing process for acquisitions, dispositions, and financings (both debt and equity), including:
- Creating and managing signature page packages
- Tracking and confirming closing checklists
- Handling recording requirements
- Preparing and assembling indexed closing books
- Prepare, review, and file UCC financing statements.
- Order and analyze UCC, lien, litigation, and related searches.
- Handle entity formation and maintenance, including related filings.
- Review and assemble officer’s certificates, resolutions, organizational documents, and closing deliverables (drafting based on precedent under attorney supervision preferred).
- Conduct fact and legal research, prepare reports, and manage associated filings as needed.
- Serve as a professional point of contact for clients and outside entities throughout transactions.
- Support attorneys with special projects and assignments.
- Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree with Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of real estate experience (law firm, in-house legal department, or title company).
- Experience with large and complex transactions preferred; title and survey proficiency required.
- Hospitality sector experience a plus, but not required.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Superior client service and communication skills.
- Strong collaboration skills to work productively with attorneys, paraprofessionals, and business services staff.
- Demonstrated verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal abilities.
- High level of discretion with confidential matters.
- Strong technical skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PDF creation tools, document management systems, and Elite (or other timekeeping software).
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
