Role Overview:
The Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Captain oversees and directs all law enforcement operations at our Phoenix office, protecting one of America's most vital financial institutions. This isn't just a law enforcement position - it's an opportunity to serve as both frontline defenders of our five locations and respected ambassadors in the communities we serve.
This leadership role manages the Federal Reserve's Law Enforcement Unit and directs multiple work groups. It performs Lieutenant duties when needed and serves as acting Chief during the Chief's absence.

- A minimum of five years' related experience, including at least three years spent in supervisory positions
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, public administration or related field
- Outstanding leadership skills with ability to direct staff through Lieutenants and Sergeants
- Demonstrated expertise in critical situation management, including appropriate use of force
- Strong budget development and administration experience
- Strategic thinking balanced with tactical competence
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels
- Proven ability to mentor, develop, and encourage high-performing teams
- Experience managing sensitive issues and mitigating reputational risks
- Ability to lawfully possess a firearm
- Valid Driver's license
- Ability to acquire and maintain "Secret" clearance
- 5+ years of supervisory/management experience in law enforcement, military, or armed security
- Must demonstrate the strength, stamina, agility, and balance needed to restrain resistant individuals and protect oneself and others from physical assaults
- Requires physical capability to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, and occasionally run, crouch, or crawl
- Lift 25-50 lbs. frequently, occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to pass a color vision test without the use of an X-Chrome lens or other colored filters
- Required to be capable of carrying firearms and additional law enforcement tools that may be secured on the officer's utility belt
- May encounter environmental elements, operating machinery, or potentially dangerous situations
Candidates undergo a comprehensive evaluation including:
- Fitness-for-duty physical examination
- Psychological assessment
- Detailed background investigation
- Drug screening
- Must pass the six-week Basic Law Enforcement course at one of our Federal Reserve Banks and complete Field Training after graduation.
Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000 (

Phoenix)
Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.
