Summary

As a Sr. Logistics Specialist, you will lead logistics planning, shipping operations, and supply chain coordination activities to support production and customer requirements. This role is responsible for optimizing material flow, improving logistics processes, analyzing transportation performance, and supporting strategic decision‑making across shipping and inventory operations. You will work cross‑functionally with manufacturing, suppliers, carriers, and global headquarters to ensure on‑time delivery, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Lead logistics and shipping operations to ensure on‑time delivery, inventory accuracy, and efficient material flow
  • Determine the most efficient shipping methods by evaluating delivery urgency, carrier performance, cost, and customer requirements
  • Analyze freight carrier capabilities and provide recommendations based on operational and business needs
  • Monitor, track, and troubleshoot shipment issues while providing timely updates and delivery confirmations
  • Maintain and analyze outbound shipment records, logistics KPIs, and transportation metrics
  • Develop, improve, and standardize logistics, shipping, and receiving processes and procedures
  • Drive OTD (On‑Time Delivery) performance through planning, expediting, tracking, and reporting activities
  • Verify product availability and manufacturing lead times to ensure alignment with customer demand
  • Provide advanced planning analysis and logistics reporting to support operational and leadership decision‑making
  • Publish and present service, inventory, and logistics performance metrics to leadership
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, procurement, and business units to align inventory strategies and customer requirements
  • Support inventory optimization efforts, including working and non‑working inventory management
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on logistics efficiency, cost reduction, and process optimization
  • Mentor and support logistics specialists and team members through training and knowledge sharing
  • Support communication and coordination with global headquarters during planning and operational meetings
  • Maintain cleanliness at work‑site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
    • Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
    • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience
  • APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or related supply chain certification preferred
Experience
  • 6+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Materials Management within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading logistics operations, inventory planning, or transportation coordination
  • Strong knowledge of material flow, shipping operations, inventory management, and supply chain processes
  • Experience working within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment preferred
Skills
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
  • Strong organizational and project coordination abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to support global communication and operational coordination across multiple teams and time zones
