Job Overview
The Director of Central Supply Chain Planning leads the end‑to‑end planning function across Intel’s semiconductor manufacturing network. The role integrates wafer fabrication, advanced packaging, back‑end assembly/test, and finished‑good supply into a single aligned plan that optimizes supply, cycle time, and constrained capacity while balancing customer commitments.
Key Responsibilities- Own the integrated supply plan across wafer fab, bump, sort, wafer‑level assembly, and assembly test; align demand, supply, and inventory strategies to meet customer commit dates and revenue targets; drive trade‑off decisions across stages.
- Establish planning policies across the network and model capacity & constraint management to optimize constrained resources; quantify trade‑offs such as impacts of non‑value‑added WIP on bottleneck tools; prioritize high‑value products under constraint.
- Lead scenario analysis for capacity expansions, mix changes, and disruptions; partner closely with Fab Planning, Advanced Packaging Planning, Back‑End Planning, and Customer Order Management for cross‑stage orchestration.
- Define and manage end‑to‑end planning KPIs, including on‑time delivery, total cycle time, inventory turns/WIP levels, and overall system performance.
- Own design, deployment, and continuous improvement of planning processes within Blue Yonder; drive adoption of advanced capabilities such as constraint‑based planning, allocation and prioritization logic, scenario planning, and simulations; translate business rules into system parameters.
- Build and lead a high‑performing central planning team; define roles for end‑to‑end planners, scenario analysts, and system experts; develop talent with deep semiconductor and advanced planning expertise.
- Strong technical knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, supply strategy, advanced planning solutions, foundry practices, factory operations, and planning best practices.
- Proven ability to interpret technical data and apply insights to supply chain solutions.
- Track record of building and leading effective teams in a global, cross‑functional environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and strategic decision‑making skills with ability to influence senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Self‑initiative, persistence, and ability to handle ambiguity while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Experience with semiconductor supply foundry chain best practices across multiple stages.
- Hands‑on experience with Blue Yonder supply chain management in a semiconductor manufacturing foundry environment.
- Works well in highly matrixed, cross‑organizational and cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong business sense and technical savvy.
- Willingness to manage complex tasks and deadline pressure while maintaining high attention to detail and quality.
- Bachelor’s or BS degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Business Management, or related field, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years of supply chain experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 8+ years with a master’s, or 6+ years with a PhD.
