Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills while establishing retailer relationships and serving as the face of Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations as needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from partner companies in the stores you serve.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Starting hourly pay rate: $15.50–$16.50, depending on skills and experience.
- Paid training via live hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom training.
- Part‑time employees receive voluntary benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.) and annual pay increases.
- Variable schedule with an average of 5–14 hours per week, including availability before and after major holidays and for seasonal changeovers.
- Day‑to‑day engagement: Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products using a mobile device. Use technology for communication, reporting time, feedback, and surveys.
- Holiday support: Provide additional hours around key holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). Work on the actual holiday or weekend when required.
- Department resets: Install and relocate Hallmark fixtures, card departments, and products. Receive advance notice (typically two weeks) for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
- Team collaboration: Support fellow merchandisers in their territories when needed.
Must be physically able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds routinely and 50 pounds occasionally. Must kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use step ladders throughout the shift.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Proficient reading, writing, and understanding of English.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Operates a digital handheld device (reads documents, interprets information).
- Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
- Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
