Sandvik Mining is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist to support Parts and Services Sales Representatives (PSSRs) in the Tucson, AZ market. The role focuses on forecasting, demand planning, inventory management and coordination with customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with PSSRs to forecast parts demand using customer maintenance plans and CRM opportunity data.
- Use the Strategic Stock tool to secure inventory levels and mitigate unpredicted failure risks based on fleet size and age.
- Plan parts for new customers, new product introductions and new machine models.
- Support revenue growth, on‑time delivery (OTD), warehouse stock turns and net working capital targets for Parts and Services.
- Act as the consolidation point for parts forecasts (maintenance kits, major components) at the customer level.
- Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly progress reports to internal stakeholders and customers.
- Manage and renew strategic stock requests and review expired requests on a monthly basis.
- Participate in dealer service‑level review meetings and execute quarterly action items.
- Assist in root‑cause analysis of OTD performance and recommend improvements.
- Define inventory levels for unpredicted machine failures and support product‑line planning for assigned product lines.
- Consolidate product‑line forecasts and recommend inputs for product launches or phase‑outs.
- Maintain generic major‑component files, Recommended Spare Parts Lists (RSPL) for each model and validate them with Product Masters.
- Support training on supply‑planning strategies and tools for parts & services and equipment divisions.
- Prepare monthly reporting for PSSRs and other stakeholders on parts‑planning performance and submit executive summary to the Head of Department.
- Ensure all activities comply with EHS and Quality regulations and promote safety awareness.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 4 years of experience in a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an aftermarket environment.
- Strong professional communication skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems and MS Office (including Power BI).
- Track record of efficient time management and organizational skills.
- Experience in forecasting and demand planning.
Elko, NV (transitioning to Tucson, AZ). Occasional travel required.
