Director, Supply Chain Engineering

Pet Smart is seeking a Director, Supply Chain Engineering to lead network design, automation, and optimization across our retail and e commerce supply chain. In this role, you'll own the engineering strategy for distribution centers, transportation, and fulfillment, driving end to end efficiency, cost savings, and service for pet parents. You will lead a high performing team, champion data driven decision making, and partner with Operations, Merchandising, IT, and Finance.

Leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and advanced analytics, you will deliver innovative solutions that improve throughput, inventory flow, and on time delivery while supporting Pet Smart's pet first, people focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering strategy for Pet
• Smart's distribution, transportation, and fulfillment network
• Design and optimize end to end supply chain flows to improve cost, service, and reliability
• Drive automation, material handling, and technology solutions in DCs and fulfillment centers
• Use data analytics, simulation, and modeling to inform capacity, location, and process decisions
• Partner with Operations, Merchandising, IT, and Finance to deliver cross functional initiatives
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high performing supply chain engineering team
• Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices across the network
• Develop business cases and ROI analyses for capital investments and major projects
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with Pet
• Smart's pet first culture
• Support long range network strategy for e commerce and retail growth
