We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist to join our dynamic Operations team. This role manages the end-to-end supply chain and serves as a key liaison between Food Story Brands and customers, ensuring exceptional service through seamless coordination with production and logistics partners.
Essential Job Functions- Serve as the subject matter expert for logistics, including warehousing, transportation, and order management
- Analyze freight costs and source cost‑effective shipping options
- Confirm item dimensions and case cube for optimal shipping specs
- Evaluate national freight averages and support rate negotiations
- Calculate freight and storage costs per unit
- Build and manage shipping schedules
- Coordinate with co–packers and 3PLs for outbound shipments
- Review BOLs and PODs for OTIF delivery confirmation
- Seek new 3PL partners to support growth
- Collaborate with Sales to estimate weekly and annual volume needs
- Analyze sales trends, seasonality, and promotions to guide forecasts
- Communicate forecast changes across production and sales
- Ensure inventory supports healthy turns and avoids stock issues
- Monitor inventory levels at production facilities and warehouses
- Coordinate transportation to replenish off‑site warehouses
- Track shelf life and manage overproduction risks proactively
- Work with Sales to offload excess inventory
- Ensure outbound product meets shelf‑life and quality standards
- Review customer POs for MOQ and delivery compliance
- Validate costing and promotional discounts
- Ensure accurate PO entry via EDI or manual entry
- Partner with PMs and Marketing to support logistical needs
- Assist with special projects and process improvements
- Communicate effectively across departments
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
- 3–5 years of supply chain/logistics experience, preferably CPG
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands‑on attitude
- Strong organizational skills; thrives in fast‑paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ERP experience a plus
- Analytical thinker with strong problem‑solving skills
