Role Description The Operational Specialist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Phoenix, AZ. This role is responsible for coordinating daily freight operations, including shipment scheduling, documentation, and tracking to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with regulations. The Operational Specialist collaborates with internal teams, carriers, and clients to resolve issues, optimize routes, and maintain high service standards. Daily tasks include monitoring operational performance, preparing reports, supporting inventory and warehouse processes, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives.

The role also involves supporting sales and account teams with operational data, maintaining accurate system records, and contributing to a safe, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills for interpreting operational data, identifying issues, and supporting process improvements.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and clients.
• Experience or aptitude in sales support, including coordinating with sales teams and understanding customer requirements.
• Knowledge of operations management principles, particularly in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain environments.
• Project management skills for coordinating shipments, meeting deadlines, and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations is preferred.
• Proficiency with office software and logistics management systems; ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy and safety.
• Ability to work on-site in Phoenix, AZ and perform in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field is an advantage.
