Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general fixtures.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas needing repair or maintenance, reporting any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and work orders.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of facilities for events and special projects.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of building facilities, including restrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Ensure the proper functioning of equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical fixtures.
- Handle waste management, including recycling and disposal of hazardous materials as needed.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime.
- Other duties as needed or required.
- Primary work environment is the production floor.
- Secondary work environment is the office.
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) through the entire shift.
- Ability to be aware of surroundings for safety concerns.
- While performing duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time; occasional stooping and walking will be required.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training or certification preferred.
- Proven experience in building maintenance or facility management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy objects as necessary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and customer service.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
