IT Project Manager, Program / Project Manager, Operations Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior IT Program Manager is a forward- thinking senior leadership role within the IT-PMO department at Republic Services responsible for strategically leading the program management activities for the larger, more complex programs. This role leads a team of project and program management professionals to deliver excellence in project and program management.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES- Plans and manages strategic programs with several interdependencies to other strategic programs and operations.
- Works closely with IT and Business Leaders in plan adherence.
- Partners with other PMO staff with financial support and staffing plans and supports the PMO Roadmap.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for IT Leadership & Teams supporting the program.
- Leads a team of project managers which may include program managers.
- Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts that could potentially put the program at risk.
- Creates and manages program budget.
- Communicates regularly with executive leadership on the progress and status of programs managed.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
- Strong knowledge of portfolio management.
- Full knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation
- Experience leading a team of IT project managers
- Certified Product Owner, or PMI-PMP preferred
- PMI-PgMP Certification highly desirable
- Intrinsically motivated, accountable, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communicator; exceptional relationship builder
- Experience managing projects using Agile, Predictive, and Hybrid Methodologies.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience managing strategic IT programs with several inter-dependencies to other strategic IT programs and operations.
- Experience leading and developing a team of project and/or program management professionals.
- Minimum of 7 years of senior level IT professional experience such as Sr Software Developer, Sr Database Administrator, Business Analysis or related role.
