Overview
IES is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager (Low voltage) in Phoenix, AZ. This is a career position with a dynamic and growing company. The Project Manager must be able to travel 75 percent. The Project Manager is the overall manager for assigned project and ensures that all contracted work is developed, implemented, installed, and managed in accordance with the Company's requirements, including safety, quality, management, and financial performance.
All aspects of the assigned project(s) should be carried out efficiently with respect to staffing, materials management, financial management, customer care, and customer delivery goals.
- Recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise, promote, discipline, and discharge project-related staff as needed.
- Effectively manage all human resource issues per Company policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to meet customer and Company goals and objectives.
- Manage workload distribution and monitor customer delivery and job installation progress.
- Plan for, manage, monitor, and maintain project profitability to achieve Company goals.
- Review all job cost postings for accuracy and completeness, including invoicing, customer collections, and periodic financial reporting to the customer and management.
- Manage quality and safety issues on customer work.
- Participate in and/or facilitate the bid process.
- Act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representatives.
- Create, develop, and implement account process improvements.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Min USD $95,000.00/Yr. Max USD $/Yr.
QualificationsPhysical and Mental Requirements:
- Self-motivated, positive in approach, professional, and capable of leading others to create, develop, and implement project process improvements.
- Promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners.
- Proven problem solving, critical thinking, and communication (reading, writing, and oral presentation) skills.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents, including specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
- Ability to travel within branch or regional territory as needed.
- Ability to learn Company and customer project management systems.
- Ability to secure and maintain a Company-sponsored American Express Card.
- Proficiency with trade tools listed (punch tool with 110/66 block blade, 6/8 position crimp tool, Krone/3M/BIX, butt set, volt-ohmmeter, 4-pair continuity tester, 5-gang punch tool).
- Regular and reliable job attendance.
Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - RCDD certification preferred.
- 5+ years of supervisory or managerial experience.
- 5+ years of experience in telecommunications or related technical/construction field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
- Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Experience defining a project, creating a project scope of work, developing detailed tasks, and managing to completion and customer turnover.
