We are seeking a highly motivated, sales‑driven leader for the role of General Manager. Reporting to the District Sales Manager, the General Manager will focus on sales, process improvement, and team development to help members achieve their health and wellness goals.
Position PurposeDevelop a team that delivers an exceptional customer experience and fulfills business objectives.
Responsibilities- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff, including Assistant General Managers and Fitness Consultants.
- Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures clearly to staff.
- Set and meet membership and revenue goals, track KPIs, and devise strategies to increase retention and new sign‑ups.
- Provide constructive feedback to staff, highlighting strengths and improvement areas.
- Ensure high‑quality customer service by addressing member concerns, managing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
- Engage with members in a friendly, approachable manner, actively listening to their needs.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, certifications, and protocols.
- Supervise facility maintenance and cleanliness of equipment, locker rooms, and common areas.
- In emergencies, communicate calmly and clearly with staff and members, giving necessary instructions.
- 2 years of sales management experience.
- 3–4 years of customer service experience.
- Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong relationship building and influencing abilities with all levels.
- Detail orientation, systematic problem‑solving, time management, and organizational skills.
- Proficient MS Office skills.

- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work in a gym setting, moving about club floors and rooms; communicate with employees, members, and the public.
- Ability to access and operate the company computer system, prepare documents, enter data, and read reports.
- Ability to bend routinely and lift more than 40 lbs.
$65,000—$70,000 USD
