Under the direction of the Director of Grants, this position provides leadership to the post‑award grant team and oversees all post‑award activities. This includes overseeing project implementation and evaluation, contract compliance, and monitoring budgets to successful spend downs. This position assures that all negotiations and approval processes for post‑award activities are timely and accurate and that grant operations are conducted in compliance with approved Federal and State regulations and any funder requirements.

In addition, this position is responsible for the conduct of grant projects as well as for the securing and management of grants, subcontracts, and related budgets and for the general oversight of grant projects conducted at Valley wise Health.

Annual Salary Rate: $83,116.80–$

Qualifications Education

Requires a bachelor's degree in management or related field;
or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.

A Master's degree in business management or related field is preferred. (e.g., MPH, MPA, MBA).

Experience

Must have at least five (5) years of experience in Grants program management specific to project management and/or contract management and at least two (2) years of progressively responsible management/supervisory experience.

A Master's degree will substitute for two (2) years of required program management experience.

Certification/Licensure

An MBA and Project Management Professional ( is preferred but not required.

A Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification is preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must know about project management, grants operations, contract and grant processes.
  • Must be knowledgeable about and assure compliance with all regulations related to the conduct of grants.
  • Must have attention to details and deadlines; work well with people; and have good organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present to all sizes of audiences.
  • Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Must be proficient with systems and a variety of software applications.
  • Leadership facilitation, critical thinking, problem‑solving, decision‑making, and analytical skills are required.
  • Must be detail‑oriented.
  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment and the ability to influence, motivate, and lead stakeholders from various business units to reach an agreement.
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
