About The Position

The Director of Human Resources & Organizational Development plans, directs, organizes, coordinates, and evaluates the overall employment and development-related strategies for the Clerk of Superior Court, including full employment life cycle and personnel-related activities in accordance with applicable Maricopa County and State Judicial policies, procedures, and current federal, state, and local laws, statutes, and regulations. This is an executive management level classification that exercises considerable initiative and judgment in carrying out assignments.

The Director oversees and serves as the appointing authority for the department and is responsible for managing the department's overall activities, including formulating and administering Clerk of Superior Court policies.

We Require
  • Eight years of professional administrative experience, which includes four years of supervisory and/or managerial experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field
  • An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the required education or experience on a year-for-year basis

  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field with demonstrated experience in both HR and OD
  • Certifications at a Senior level through a recognized governing body, such as a SHRM-SCP or HRCI SPHR
