Maintenance Director

A growing healthcare organization in the Phoenix area is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to oversee facility operations, preventative maintenance programs, life safety compliance, and environmental services.

This leadership role is responsible for ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors while managing maintenance personnel and outside vendors.

• Oversee daily maintenance operations and facility repairs
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and life safety regulations
• Manage work orders and maintenance priorities
• Supervise maintenance staff and contractors
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and regulatory preparedness activities
• Monitor building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and emergency equipment
• Maintain vendor relationships and oversee contracted services
• Assist with capital projects, renovations, and facility improvements
• Manage department budgets and inventory

• Previous Maintenance Director, Plant Operations Director, Facilities Director, or similar leadership experience
• Experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, hospital, behavioral health, or senior living settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
• Understanding of life safety regulations, emergency preparedness, and compliance requirements
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
