Vice President of Sales, Staffing Industry – West Coast
Our client is a high-growth, multi-brand staffing organization with a national footprint and deep expertise across light industrial, office/administrative, and transportation staffing. Backed for aggressive expansion, they are adding senior leadership to scale sales infrastructure and accelerate growth.
This is a true VP-level sales leadership role (not a “step-up” position). You will lead and scale the West Coast sales organization, directly managing a team of 10-12 sales leaders/BDMs in California and Arizona while building the structure, talent strategy, and operating rhythm needed to expand into 4 new markets per year. You’ll partner closely with executive leadership and a senior major-accounts leader, and you’ll take the lead on P&L ownership.
What you’ll do:
- Lead overall go-to-market strategy for the West Coast and drive execution against revenue and gross profit goals.
- Build and scale the sales organization: hiring strategy, role definitions, performance expectations, onboarding/training.
- Establish and run a disciplined pipeline operating cadence (forecasting, reviews, conversion metrics, accountability).
- Drive market expansion: identify target markets, vertical opportunities, and build the playbooks to launch successfully.
- Ensure rigorous CRM usage and reporting (Bullhorn experience strongly preferred).
- Oversee proposal/RFP/RFI development and ensure a compelling value proposition and business case.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, delivery, and marketing to create a cohesive growth engine.
- Create a culture that attracts top talent and delivers consistent, measurable sales performance.
What you need:
- Proven VP-level sales leadership experience in light industrial, manufacturing or logistics staffing.
- Demonstrated success building and scaling sales teams and infrastructure.
- Experience managing 10+ direct reports and leading through leaders.
- Strong command of full-cycle sales leadership: strategy, hiring, coaching, performance management, pipeline discipline.
- Comfort operating with P&L ownership and executive-level accountability.
- Willingness to travel 50%+ and be hands‑on in market buildouts.
What you get:
- High-impact leadership seat with significant runway for growth and market expansion.
- Opportunity to build a high-performing sales organization and leave a lasting footprint.
- Highly competitive compensation plan with bonus tied to growth and performance.
