** POSITION SUMMARY
** This position provides strategic direction, oversight, and operational leadership for the Physical Security and Emergency Management functions across the SQL/LSA System to ensure the protection of employees, capital assets, facilities, and proprietary information. This position is accountable for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide physical security and emergency management strategies, programs, and protocols and oversees system-wide emergency management response, physical security operations, and related risk mitigation activities, while providing expert guidance, direction, and support to system leadership and key stakeholders.
* Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.
*** CORE FUNCTIONS
** 1. Provides administrative leadership in the planning, management, support, and coordination of staff and stakeholders in the development and implementation of organization-wide and facility level business continuity, emergency management, and physical security activities. Provides resources and acts to remove barriers throughout the organization for a successful implementation of the program objectives.
2. Develops and coordinates the organization’s Emergency Management and Security strategic goals, annual strategic planning, and performance/process improvement. Oversees the completion of Business Continuity strategic plans. Ensures system synergy collaborating with business owners/JV partners.
3. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including policies and procedures, risk assessments, business impact analysis and monitoring emerging risks, strategy development implementation, testing, and periodic reviews.
4. Establish and enforce security programs insuring the protection of people, property, and information assets. Create strategic plans and oversight for access control, surveillance, investigation, and incident response to ensure a unified protection posture for the organization.
5. Build organization-wide resilience through training awareness, and culture to create a safe and proactive risk management strategy. Direct execution of accurate and timely internal and external communication plans during incidents and disruptions. Maintain relationships with regulators emergency services, critical suppliers, and local communities.
6. Provides strategic emergency preparedness and physical security planning, ensuring corporate emergency management and security goals are aligned with organizational objectives, operational priorities, and industry standards.
