About the Role – AZ Only Candidates
A growing advisory firm is seeking a Director of Strategic Operations & Client Delivery to partner closely with leadership in building and scaling the organization’s internal team, processes, and operating model.
This role operates in a Chief of Staff capacity, with a primary focus on strengthening the firm’s internal foundation—including hiring, team development, and culture—recognizing that a high‑performing team is critical to delivering exceptional client outcomes.
You will play a key role in connecting strategy to execution, ensuring that priorities are clearly defined, aligned across the organization, and consistently executed in day‑to‑day work.
This is a hands‑on leadership role—ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, driving alignment, and rolling up their sleeves to get work done.
This is not a purely strategic role. The right candidate will be deeply involved in execution.
What You’ll Do Strategic Operations & Chief of Staff- Partner with leadership to define and drive key strategic priorities
- Translate strategy into clear, actionable expectations across the team
- Support hiring, onboarding, and team development efforts
- Help build and reinforce a strong, high‑performing culture
- Identify gaps in structure, capacity, or capabilities and implement solutions
- Drive alignment and accountability across initiatives
- Lead execution of key initiatives from planning through completion
- Coordinate cross‑functional efforts and ensure follow‑through
- Support leadership with planning, prioritization, and decision‑making
- Step in to manage high‑priority projects as needed
- Establish and implement standardized processes and playbooks across engagements
- Improve consistency, efficiency, and scalability of client delivery
- Ensure alignment between internal team capabilities and delivery expectations
- Drive adoption of tools, systems, and reporting frameworks
- 6–10 years in consulting, operations, or a similar multi‑functional role
- Experience working in a high‑growth, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong ability to translate strategy into execution
- Proven experience building processes, systems, and scalable frameworks
- Experience supporting or participating in hiring and team development
- Comfortable operating at both a strategic and hands‑on level
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence without direct authority
- Experience working closely with founders or senior leadership
- Experience in a consulting or advisory environment
- Experience working with startups or founder‑led organizations
- Prior experience in a Chief of Staff or operations leadership role
- Direct exposure to leadership and strategic decision‑making
