Position Summary
Lead and develop teams by providing training, coaching, and feedback to associates on the shop floor. Drive operational excellence, customer service, and financial results, ensuring a high-quality customer experience and profitable store performance.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and empower store associates, modeling the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
- Communicate and collaborate with all levels of employees on store operations, technology initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
- Implement business solutions, set clear expectations, and guide teams toward business objectives.
- Lead customer service initiatives, resolve complaints, and drive process improvements for a superior customer experience.
- Review and analyze profit‑loss statements, manage budgeting, forecast, and control expenses.
- Oversee merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and shrink mitigation to achieve sales and profit goals.
- Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and develop hourly associates; set duties, expectations, and recognition.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, define goals, measure progress, and promote continuous learning.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics, and the Open Door program.
- Cultivate a culture of belonging, respect the individual, and support a diverse workforce.
- 2 years of college OR 1 year of retail experience with 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience with 1 year of supervisory experience.
- For firearms locations: successful completion of a Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
- For ammunition-only locations: a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
- Completion of all required job‑training and assessments (e.g., Academy, Open Door).
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership (Live Better U or Bellevue University).
- Experience supervising 5+ direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and termination responsibilities.
Annual salary range: $65,000.00 – $. Additional compensation may include performance bonuses, regional pay zone adjustments, and complex structure allowances.
