Job Summary:

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a strategic leader to oversee its Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program and lead a dedicated statewide team committed to advancing equal employment opportunity, inclusive practices, and reasonable accommodation. In this role, you will oversee EEO and ADA/Reasonable Accommodation programs, guide workplace compliance and fact-finding reviews concerning allegations related to Title VII complaints, and partner with agency leaders to address complex personnel matters. Your leadership will help ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws, strengthen workplace practices, and support a respectful, inclusive work environment.

Job Duties:

* Supervise EEO staff in researching complex personnel issues, including discrimination, disciplinary actions, investigations, and compliance with labor laws (FMLA, ADA, etc.)

* Handle highly sensitive and confidential matters for the agency

* Participate in dispute resolution, settlement negotiations, and conciliations

* Develop, interpret, and monitor Equal Opportunity goals and initiatives

* Prepare reports and analyze data related to selection processes, surveys, and workforce demographics

* Deliver EEO presentations and conduct training for staff, management, and external stakeholders

* Provide technical assistance and guidance on supervision, grievances, and staff development

* Advise executive leadership on confidential HR and EEO matters

* Analyze HR data to support informed decision-making and reporting

* Represent the agency in meetings with external entities (e.g., EEOC, DOJ, DOL, AG's Office, Governor's Office)

* Attend internal meetings across organizational levels

* Perform other related duties as assigned

* Drive on state business

* Analyze workplace issues and recommend effective solutions

* Learn, interpret, and equitably apply employment laws as well as ADCRR policies

Selective Preference(s):

The ideal candidate will possess a background in conducting investigations and proficiency in report writing.

Prior experience in equal employment opportunity and regulatory compliance, along with a comprehensive understanding of state, federal, and other relevant employment laws, is desired.
