Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Manager who will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and daily management of statewide community-based programs designed for individuals with spinal cord injuries (SCI) through our contract funded from the Arizona Governor’s Council on Spinal and Head Injuries. This role focuses on enhancing quality of life through resource facilitation, education, outreach, peer mentorship, access, community reintegration, and advocacy.
The Program Manager leads staff, manages contract-funded initiatives, and builds partnerships with healthcare providers, rehabilitation centers, and community agencies to ensure holistic support to those with SCI.
- Ensure the effective delivery of programs and services under the Arizona Governor’s Council of Spinal and Head Injuries SCI Contract
- Ensure all programs align with the purpose of the contract
- Oversee resource facilitation to assist clients in accessing community services, funding, vocational rehabilitation, and other community resources.
- Design, implement, and evaluate community-based services that support independence for individuals with SCI:

- Primary Representative for contract at community events, meetings and conferences

- Cultivate and manage partnerships between the organization and Arizona hospitals, SCI rehabilitation centers, and state agencies to facilitate referrals and community transition.
- Manage contract budget, ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services provided under the SCI contract.
- Develop and oversee Annual Action Plans for the contract
- Prepare for and participate in Monthly Action Plan tracking meetings.
- Prepare and submit draft for Monthly Reports for Knowledge Service, Contract Administration and internal Ability
360 software reporting and documentation. - Supervise, mentor and support contract staff, interns and volunteers.
- Provide training and education on SCI-related topics, including accessibility, health equity, and disability rights.
- Perform administrative aspects of Ability

- Develop and maintain marketing materials including social media, print and public relations.
- Collaborate with development department for additional grants and funding to serve SCI services (i.e. transportation and items related to SCI services not in contract).
- Maintain proper documentation in membership software including, but not limited to, account balancing and minor budgetary accountability.
- Maintain schedule integrity according to Easy Time Clock management.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Work schedule requires a great deal of flexibility and is dependent upon program needs and will include some evenings and weekends. Travel throughout the state of Arizona will be required on a monthly basis. Please only apply if you can fulfill the time requirements.
Supervisory ResponsibilityThis role coordinates the recruitment, training and supervision of program contract staff, SCI Program Coordinator, volunteers, interns, providing ongoing mentorship and performance assessments.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesProven track record of managing teams, budgets and professional partnerships. Strong knowledge of SCI rehabilitation, community resources, and ADA regulations.
