Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, civil engineering, construction management, facilities management, or related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Five years of experience in facility operations or management, including an administrative or supervisory role.
- Professional Engineer (PE) designation preferred.
- Knowledge of construction methods, planning and scheduling, cost accounting, computer programs, supervisory practices, purchasing and contracting policies.
- Effective communication skills with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
- Valid state driver's license may be required.
This position manages all construction and ongoing maintenance of facilities for the District. It prepares and monitors the departmental budget, projects needs, monitors expenditures, determines staffing needs, oversees payroll for maintenance staff, and allocates funds for department operational expenses. It establishes policies and procedures for repair program review, coordinates repair scheduling, manages purchasing and general contracting functions, and assists district staff and school principals in reviewing facilities for existing and potential problems.
