Overview
The Regional Vice President is responsible for multi‑district management and leadership development of our District Director team within their assigned region. This position will have oversight of 7‑12 districts aligned to their geographical area. The Regional Vice President is an integral part of the Sprouts Leadership team and responsible for District Directors’ success and region profitability. This role drives store sales, team‑member engagement, and robust customer advocacy through strong, dynamic leadership to create success in people, processes, partners, and performance.

- Develop the District Director team to deliver an exceptional customer experience by motivating our team members’ engagement.
- Lead with courtesy, respect, integrity, and care.
- Provide development feedback and coaching to Directors and Store Leadership teams.
- Support Sprouts’ focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion to ensure a sense of belonging across the organization.
- Spend time in stores, review KPIs to identify obstacles, concerns, and opportunities for improvement, and coach the management team to act and achieve operational goals.
- Work closely with district leadership to resolve conflict, utilizing Human Resources Managers for input, advice, and guidance, and remaining focused on escalated or high‑risk issues.
- Build talent pipeline internally and externally, exporting and promoting talent across the company for the organization’s success and new store growth.
- Manage talent bench strength and identify opportunities to promote and move talent across operations and other cross‑functional areas and special projects.
- Retain and reward your team through active engagement, appreciation, recognition, and coaching.
- Communicate and cascade directives to teams through district visits, calls, and one‑on‑one conversations.
- Oversee and validate proper store staffing, including selection, promotion, and hiring of Store Managers in partnership with the District Director and SVP.
- Sponsor development programs such as Assistant Store Manager development and Store Manager Certification.
- Responsible for the success and profitability of districts within the region.
- Provide strategic direction and input to the forecasting and budgeting process.
- Analyze the profit and loss report, margin report, and other financial measures. Implement plans to meet weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goals.
- Drive and validate the deployment of merchandising directives in each department.
- Guide merchandising decisions and execution, with an eye for regionally appropriate modifications; act as a steward of the Sprouts brand.
- Approach directives with nimbleness and adaptability and communicate the Sprouts brand through merchandising and displays.
- Provide feedback on marketing efforts in the respective district to drive traffic and build basket size.
- Partner with the merchant team to maximize sales opportunities, build the average basket size, and present stores that reflect the brand.
- Partner with the marketing team to maximize customer traffic, articulate the points of difference at Sprouts, and provide an optimal store experience that reflects the Sprouts personality.
- Partner with the supply chain team to support on‑time deliveries at desired frequencies to support store sales, manage inventory levels, and optimize our carbon footprint.
- Partner with the Facilities team to ensure operational and safe conditions throughout the district.
- Partner with the legal and business protection team to protect our team members, customers, and the company through compliance with safety and food safety regulations.
- Maintain compliance with all safety and food safety recommendations and requirements, as measured through Ecolab and PCR audits.
- Oversee safety, security, and loss prevention activities, identifying and addressing trends within the region. Partner with Business Risk and Safety team to resolve concerns.
