The Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Vendor Training Monitoring Manager. DDD provides individuals with developmental disabilities, and their families, services and supports that are flexible, high quality, and member driven. These services provide individuals with opportunities to exercise their rights and responsibilities of independent decision-making and engagement in the community.
Applicants for this position cannot be licensed or certified by the DDD Office of Licensing Certification and Regulation, cannot have a principal interest in or have a spouse or close family with principal interest in a DDD Qualified Vendor Agreement, and cannot be employed or subcontracted by a DDD Qualified Vendor.
Job Duties- Development and coordination of committees made up of internal DDD representatives and representatives from both the vendor community and general community to provide feedback on the trainings developed by DDD for contracted DDD vendors and vendor staff. Provides leadership, mentoring, coaching and direct supervision of staff and team members. Completes Performance Appraisals, authorizes leave, and approves Time Cards for staff.
- Directs staff responsible for the monitoring of DDD contracted vendors and DDD approved community trainers for compliance with the expectations of DDD.
- Direct staff responsible for the development and provision of training for DDD contracted vendors, vendor staff, and community trainers.
- Reporting to DDD leadership and DDD contracted vendor community on the development of training for DDD contracted vendors and vendor staff as well as reporting on compliance on the part of DDD contracted vendors, vendor staff, and community trainers with adhering to the expectations of DDD.
- Coordinating the development of training for DDD contracted vendors and vendor staff as well as the training of DDD staff responsible for this development and training with DES training.
Knowledge in:
- Adult Learning Principles; DES requirements for the development and instruction of training.
- Use of technology in an office environment and a training environment.
- Risk Management practices; investigation practices;
Knowledge of the elements and development of monitoring reports and corrective action plans. - Federal and state laws, rules and regulations, and policies that oversee the Division (DDD).
- Structure and intent of contracts with vendors;
Structuring and management of a diverse workforce and the coordination committees.
Skills in:
- Management of teams, employee engagement, leadership, and development.
- Oral and written communication;
Training related technologies. - Organization and time management;
Scheduling and tracking. - Assessing, reviewing, and analyzing situations and data;
Investigating contractual compliance issues.
Ability to:
- Analyze, reason logically, and use independent judgment;
Facilitate meetings. - Identify high priority issues consistent with the Division's goals.
