The Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Policy Specialty Documents Supervisor.

DDD provides individuals with developmental disabilities, and their families, services and supports that are flexible, high quality, and member driven. These services provide individuals with opportunities to exercise their rights and responsibilities of independent decision-making and engagement in the community. Applicants for this position cannot be licensed or certified by the DDD Office of Licensing Certification and Regulation, cannot have a principal interest in or have a spouse or close family with principal interest in a DDD Qualified Vendor Agreement, and cannot be employed or subcontracted by a DDD Qualified Vendor.

Job Duties
  • Under the direction of the Division Policy Manager, supervise, mentor, and coach professional staff who create and maintain policy, procedures, and printed materials. Provides oversight and direction of staff work products. Performs work of considerable difficulty in organizing, coordinating, and supervision required to ensure the Division’s policies, procedures, forms, and other business related documents are completed accurately and timely and comply with federal and state law, federal and state regulations, the AHCCCS contract, and DES policy.
  • Performs work of considerable difficulty in organizing, coordinating, and supervision required to ensure the Division’s policies, procedures, forms, and other business related documents are completed accurately and timely and comply with federal and state law, federal and state regulations, the AHCCCS contract, and DES policy.
  • Provides leadership, mentoring, coaching, and direct supervision of staff to ensure assigned staff are in compliance with the requirements of their employment and job duties and to assist these staff in continued professional growth, skill building, and production of quality work output.
  • Responds to and composes correspondence dealing with subject matter in ways that call for considerable discretion and analytical skills that involve judgment or negotiation; replying to inquiries; presenting complex information in a simplified manner, requesting information to resolve difficult and/or complex problems.
  • Facilitates work groups, collaborates with Subject Matter Experts, and participates in annual and special projects of the Division including Annual Policy Review and Operational Reviews. Provides oversight, mentoring, and guidance to staff members who are participating in or organizing projects of a complex nature with high impact on the Division and the public.
  • Tracking and reporting out to leadership related to the work product and performance of assigned staff including monitoring and reporting on performance metrics. Coordinating the review of changes to AHCCCS policy and contract with DDD staff and Leadership as they relate to needed modifications to DDD internal documents and processes to the Divisions compliance with changes from AHCCCS as it relates to the provision of Long-Term Care Services.
