IMCOR is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, financial performance, and successful delivery of large-scale mechanical projects.

This senior-level position is designed for an accomplished mechanical professional with extensive experience managing high-value, technically complex projects from preconstruction planning through commissioning and final closeout.

The Senior Project Manager will have overall responsibility for project financial performance, scheduling, procurement, labor planning, contractual requirements, customer relationships, risk management, safety, and quality. This role will also provide leadership and direction to Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, field leadership, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead large-scale mechanical projects from preconstruction planning through execution, commissioning, and final closeout.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, schedules, cost projections, cash flow, billing, collections, and overall profitability.
  • Maintain responsibility for the financial performance and successful execution of assigned projects.
  • Review project scope, contractual requirements, plans, specifications, schedules, and project risks prior to and throughout project execution.
  • Manage contracts, subcontracts, procurement, purchase orders, change orders, claims, and other contractual requirements.
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, schedules of values, project documentation, permits, progress billings, and change management.
  • Develop and coordinate labor plans with Superintendents and field leadership to ensure projects are appropriately staffed throughout each phase.
  • Coordinate material, equipment, subcontractor, vendor, engineering, and scheduling requirements.
  • Monitor project costs and productivity, identify financial or operational concerns, and implement corrective action when necessary.
  • Prepare and present accurate monthly and quarterly project forecasts and projections.
  • Identify project risks early and implement solutions that protect schedule, budget, safety, quality, and client commitments.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, consultants, vendors, and key project stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong, professional customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead project meetings and communicate project status, risks, financial performance, schedule requirements, and critical decisions.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and field personnel.
  • Promote accountability and effective communication between project management and field operations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely project documentation throughout the life of the project.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of mechanical project management experience
    , with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, high-value, and technically complex mechanical projects
    .
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience within the mechanical industry.
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related mechanical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of project controls, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, contracts, billing, collections, and change management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the financial performance and profitability of complex projects.
  • Experience leading Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams.
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal requirements, including HVAC/ASHRAE, Plumbing/ASPE, and applicable building codes

  • Strong understanding of labor planning, project sequencing, material procurement, scheduling, and field operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
