The Portfolio Operations Manager serves as the operational leader of the Portfolio Operations Lane within the Portfolio Management & Operations Office (PMO&O) and functions as the primary extension of division leadership across the Division's three-pillar operating model.
This role is responsible for owning the portfolio operating rhythm, governance frameworks, executive coordination, and cross-functional integration that enables the Division Leader to effectively lead all inclusive organizational pillars simultaneously.
The Portfolio Operations Manager partners closely with Delivery Directors, the General Manager – Model T, Program Managers, IG corporate stakeholders, and the broader PMO&O team to ensure portfolio activities remain aligned, visible, and executable.
This role plays a critical leadership role during PMO&O stand-up, organizational mobilization, governance activation, and long-term operational maturity.
Key Responsibilities- Own the Division's leadership operating rhythm
- Coordinate executive meetings, governance cadence, and strategic reviews
- Manage portfolio-level action tracking and follow-up
- Prepare executive briefings and leadership reports
- Drive accountability for cross-organizational commitments
- Serve as the primary coordination point across Model T and PMO&O
- Align organizational priorities across delivery and enablement pillars
- Manage portfolio-level dependencies and resource allocation discussions
- Resolve cross-functional escalations
- Oversee PMO&O governance framework execution
- Ensure portfolio standards are consistently applied
- Champion organizational consistency across delivery organizations
- Support audit readiness and operational reviews
- Lead strategic PMO&O initiatives
- Coordinate cross-divisional projects
- Support business growth opportunities
- Drive continuous improvement of the portfolio operating model
- Act as a force multiplier for the Division Leader
- Manage executive communications and stakeholder engagement
- Support executive presence at internal and client-facing events
- Protect leadership capacity and prioritize executive time
- Serve as the first escalation point for portfolio-level issues
- Coordinate resolution across delivery organizations
- Maintain visibility into critical risks and issues
- Provide structured updates to leadership
- Establish governance framework and operating rhythm
- Define PMO&O team roles, processes, and SOPs
- Develop executive cadence and review structures
- Activate full PMO&O capabilities
- Manage portfolio coordination across all three pillars
- Drive continuous improvement of operating processes
- Expand PMO&O capacity as Model T and the portfolio grows
