Water Resources Manager Senior; Aaws

The Arizona Department of Water Resources seeks a Water Resources Manager Senior to oversee the Assured and Adequate Water Supply Programs, which evaluate 100-year water supply availability before home sales in Active Management Areas and outside them. This senior manager will lead a team of hydro geologists and water resource specialists, manage complex policy and technical work, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and report to the Deputy Assistant Director of Planning and Permitting.

The role requires strong supervisory experience, policy expertise, and the ability to foster collaborative problem-solving among diverse professionals.

• Ten years of professional water resource management experience, or equivalent education and experience combination
• Supervisory and management experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to handle complex regulatory and technical matters
• Skill in analyzing and developing policy recommendations and managing competing priorities and deadlines
• Ability to lead others, exercise sound judgment, and work effectively with government agencies, stakeholders, and the public
