Capture Manager

This role is in Textron System's Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC) business area. ATAC is part of the contracted air services (CAS) market, which is poised for rapid growth over the next three years and ATAC is seeking a Capture Manager to execute established Textron pursuit/capture processes to win new business, and maintain our position as the CAS industry leader. ATAC's Capture Manager will report directly to the Director of Global Military Sales (GMS) within Business Operations s is a full-time position with the option of working from one of ATAC's CONUS locations (Newport News (VA), Cherry Point (NC), Ft.

Worth (TX), Luke AFB (AZ) or Naval Base Ventura County (CA)). Travel is required 10-20% of the time. The Capture Manager will work within ATAC's Global Military Sales team. This team of 4-5 individuals is responsible for the smart, incremental growth of ATAC's business worldwide. The principal line of business is supporting adversary air training. ATAC also pursues business in the air-to-surface category, doing research and development flights, and providing fleet integrated training.

ATAC has recently won a contract for Standoff Jamming Jets services, and the Capture Manager should expect to work in the special missions arena (EW, ISR, etc.), as ATAC intends to grow in this area in the future.

The Capture Manager is the point man for ATAC's relationship with the customer for future business – developing a rapport with the customer to better understand their needs, developing proposals that best solve their needs, and carrying out the initial standup activities after successful contract award. We are looking for someone who is excited by and passionate about the opportunity to offer ATAC's industry-leading tactical services to the best customers in the world – the US military warfighter.

The successful candidate will have previous experience and a proven track record leading Capture teams in defense industry settings. Strong organization and collaboration skills are essential.

The Capture Manager will be responsible for all facets of Capture Planning and the Proposal Planning Process. The Manager should expect to also be responsible, post-award, for the successful handoff to the execution PM. Act as the company's primary communicator with the government during all capture and proposal events.

Qualifications include 5 years of relevant Capture experience producing proposals for U.S. Government customers. 10 years of relevant multi-industry Program Management experience including U.S. Government and non-U.S. Government military program experience. Sound knowledge of government and military acquisition procedures and contracting methods including FAR Part 15. Demonstrated performance supervising and managing Integrated Product Teams. Thorough knowledge of the commercial air services market and customers.

Strong business and financial acumen to assess customer needs while balancing business needs including revenue, costs and strategic plan. Strong technical/operational background in aviation. Ability to identify and develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders; and identify/act on any additional sales opportunities. Adept at developing strategic plans and communicating them to executives in oral and written form. Excellent time management, interpersonal and communication skills.

Integrity and accountability for achieving challenging goals. Able to work independently and in groups to achieve positive results. Possess the poise, adaptability and professionalism to work with large and small groups. Be comfortable speaking to large and small groups. Initiative to establish priorities, set objectives and be relentless in follow-up actions necessary to complete tasks.

Education and Certification include Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance or related fields required. Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance or related fields desired.
