The Regional Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, compliant, and profitable management of multiple operational locations within an assigned territory. This role provides leadership and strategic direction to Area Managers, local operations teams, depack processing units, and remotely domiciled drivers. The Regional Operations Manager is accountable for safety performance, regulatory compliance, customer service, asset utilization, operational efficiency, and regional financial results.
The successful candidate will foster a culture of safety, accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement while supporting company growth and profitability objectives.
Supervisory Responsibilities- Lead, coach, develop, and supervise Area Managers, local operations personnel, and drivers throughout the assigned region.
- Promote and maintain a culture focused on safety, accountability, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
- Establish performance expectations and evaluate employee performance through regular coaching and feedback.
- Recognize achievements and administer corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and partner with Human Resources on employee relations and disciplinary matters.
- Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, workforce planning, and employee retention initiatives.
- Maintain accountability for regional profit and loss performance and implement corrective actions to achieve financial objectives.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to support customer retention, business development, and service growth opportunities.
- Oversee regional asset management, utilization, tracking, and replacement planning.
- Develop, implement, and execute regional operating strategies that support safety, service excellence, compliance, efficiency, and profitability.
- Adjust operational plans and daily activities as necessary to meet performance targets and business objectives.
- Oversee multiple operating locations and ensure consistency in execution, standards, and performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators and utilize operational data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels, workforce scheduling, and resource allocation to meet operational demands.
- Manage regional revenue, operating expenses, labor costs, maintenance expenses, vendor spending, and other financial performance metrics.
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, improve efficiencies, and increase profitability.
