About the Role:

The Director of Operations in the real estate and rental leasing industry is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the daily operational functions to ensure efficiency, profitability, and compliance across all business units. This role requires strategic leadership to develop and implement operational policies, manage resources effectively, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that align with the company’s long-term goals. The Director will collaborate closely with senior management, sales, marketing, and property management teams to streamline processes and enhance customer satisfaction.

They will also be accountable for financial oversight, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, to maximize operational performance. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in sustaining business growth and maintaining a competitive edge in the dynamic real estate market within the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in operations management within the real estate, rental, or leasing industry.
  • Proven track record of managing large teams and complex operational functions.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of real estate industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related advanced degree.
  • Experience with property management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Property Manager (CPM) or Real Property Administrator (RPA).
  • Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation or process automation initiatives.
  • Experience working in a multi-state operational environment within the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage daily operations across multiple departments including property management, leasing, maintenance, and customer service to ensure seamless business performance.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation to meet organizational financial targets and operational goals.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align operational objectives with company vision and market demands.
  • Monitor compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies to mitigate risks and uphold legal requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing operational data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing innovative solutions.
