We're seeking a motivated and detail?oriented FAA Assembly Mechanic Level 2 to join our team on 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday–Friday). This is an exciting contract?to?hire opportunity with long?term potential for individuals who excel in performance, safety, and dependability.
About the RoleIn this hands?on position, you’ll play an essential part in assembling, testing, and maintaining mechanical components and equipment critical to high?quality aerospace operations. Whether you’re beginning your mechanical career or building on early experience, this role offers structured training, FAA exposure, and room to grow.
What You’ll Do- Construct and assemble mechanical parts and components to exact specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and ensure all equipment meets operational and safety standards
- Conduct mechanical testing to verify performance and reliability
- Identify worn or faulty parts and determine replacement needs
- Place orders for replacement parts to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime
- Follow established procedures while working under direct supervision
- Report progress and issues to a supervisor or manager
- Operate powered industrial trucks
, including industrial?grade equipment - Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety at all times
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 2-3 years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related field
- Familiarity with standard practices, tools, and procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision
- Strong communication and problem?solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs without significant repetitions
- Willingness to work around machinery, chemicals, and other moderate exposure risks
- Steel?toed footwear required
Preferred
- Completion of an apprenticeship or formal technical training
- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or mechanical assembly environments

$23.00 per hour
