Role OverviewThe Pipe Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining various pipe machining equipment to produce high‑quality precision components. Your expertise in machine techniques and attention to detail will be pivotal in meeting strict industry standards and ensuring the flawless performance of our products.
This position is for the 2nd shift of 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM Monday – Friday.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate iron‑working equipment, such as the Piranha ironworker machine and other tools, following technical specifications and blueprints.
- Machine pipes and components to precise measurements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials and finished products to identify defects or irregularities.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in optimal working condition.
- Collaborate with management to optimize processes and enhance overall efficiency.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise to minimize downtime.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED. - Certified in relevant technical certifications or training preferred.
- 2 years or more of experience as a Machinist.
- Computer literate; proficient with MS Office 365.
- Proven experience as a Pipe Machinist or in a similar machining role.
- Proficient in operating pipe machining equipment.
- In‑depth knowledge of various machining techniques and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and precision‑driven mindset.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate, written and verbal.
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
- Detail‑oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.
- Physical requirements:
sitting, standing, walking, lifting for full shift, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling 50 lbs. - Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
