Overview
We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for a Material Handler to join a leading Company located in the Phoenix, AZ surrounding area.
US Citizenship is required.
ResponsibilitiesMaterial Handler is responsible for ensuring that production flow continues uninterrupted by moving materials for production use. Must provide accurate inventory transactions for material that has been placed into storage and/or transferred to the production line. The work is performed in a moderate to fast-paced environment, is repetitive in nature and requires critical adherence to established quality levels while completing within the timeframe and workspace allowed for the assigned task.
This position reports directly to the department manager or the respective group/line leader for assignments and assistance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or stockroom environment and/or technical schooling in related areas, &/or any approved equivalent combination of experience, technical training, and/or education.
- Ability to read and understand work documents and to communicate information clearly to coworkers and manager, and to accurately provide the information requested on specific forms, reports, and logs.
- ERP experience, preferably Oracle, and cycle counting experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand the work processes.
- Ability to use both hands for manipulating, handling and inspecting required items.
- May be required to move, pull, lift, and horizontally transfer product weighing up to 50 pounds unaided.
- Forklift certification/experience preferred.
