2nd Shift Shift Supervisor

The Shift Supervisor supports assigned production shifts by monitoring performance metrics, assisting daily operations, developing employee skills and leadership, and communicating productivity or performance concerns to the Production Manager. This role is critical to ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient manufacturing operations.

• Provide day‑to‑day oversight, direction, and coordination of manufacturing personnel as directed by the Production Manager.
• Coach and mentor employees to ensure all roles are performed in compliance with PSI GMPs and SOPs.
• Build and support a strong, accountable production team focused on meeting operational goals.

• Ensure strict adherence to all Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.
• Proactively identify and drive improvements to promote a safe and healthy work environment.

• Ensure manufacturing practices align with the company’s vision, mission, and priorities.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement through the PSI Total Quality Management (TQM) system.
• Coordinate setup and implementation of production operating procedures, ensuring employees understand and execute SOPs effectively.

• Maintain and monitor performance standards for operations and employee performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve a target efficiency of 95%.
• Allocate resources to maximize production efficiency and meet manufacturing priorities.
• Ensure production schedules are executed on time and that products meet quality standards.
• Conduct monthly performance review meetings focused on safety, quality, and productivity improvements.

• Proven leadership ability in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to evaluate equipment capabilities to ensure quality and cost standards are met.
• Willingness and ability to temporarily perform production roles (packing, stacking, operating) as needed.
• Knowledge of applicable state safety and environmental regulations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude is a plus.

• Excellent leadership and teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including follow‑up to ensure accountability.
• Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure with a positive, “can‑do” attitude.
• Flexibility to work long or demanding hours when required.

• Associate degree in Business Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field OR 3–5 years of equivalent supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing environment.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to climb, kneel, and crawl.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks including lifting, stacking, and packing.

This position may include other duties as assigned by management.
