The Cast House Supervisor oversees daily aluminum casting operations, including melting, casting, homogenizing, and billet cutting operations. This role ensures production goals are met while maintaining strict adherence to safety, quality, and maintenance standards. The Supervisor leads and supports cast house team members, monitors process performance, coordinates workflows, and helps resolve operational issues. The position plays a key role in maintaining equipment reliability, promoting a safe working environment, and ensuring consistent product quality.
This position reports to the Cast House Manager.

- Ensures all employees fulfill their HSE responsibilities and sets the example for the team to follow.
- Actively participates in workplace and behavioral observations.
- Provides health and safety training to the team, ensuring the understanding of how to safely perform each task.
- Lead accident/incident reviews and develop corrective actions.
- Constantly monitor environmental, health and safety performance to ensure continual improvement.
- Identify hazards in the workplace to eliminate or reduce risks as far as possible.
- Continually drive housekeeping initiative and improvements.
- Responsible for his/her own health, security and safety and shall cooperate and contribute to the creation of a safe, secure and healthy working environment and to the achievement of the Company’s environmental obligations and goals.
- Responsible to work safely, respect company tools and equipment, and protect self and others from injury.
- Makes decisions regarding quality, productivity, maintenance and safety of all department operations.
- Develops action plans when required to correct problems.
- Trains employees in safety, quality, equipment and production requirements.
- Write Maintenance work orders and work with maintenance to correct problems.
- Reports damaged or unsafe equipment, and makes decisions about continuation of operations for safety or damage reason.
- Overseas storage of scrap, log and billet to ensure alloy segregation.
- Maintains inventory of supplies, and orders supplies as needed.
- Follows and enforces all company rules (safety, quality, environmental, etc.).
- Provide positive leadership and insures proper training of all new employees.
- Promotes our commitment to Quality, improves processes, and upgrades staff through training.
- Complete required forms and immediately report all accidents to department manager and the Safety Department.
- Operate Spectrograph, calculate alloy mix of a charge and calculate alloy additions.
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to drive Mobile Equipment.
- Basic understanding of computers.
- Must read and understand all work and safety instructions relevant to their specific area of responsibility.
- Must read and understand quality system operating procedures relevant to DMR, corrective and preventive action.
- Lead shift independently with limited supervision, Ability to think out of the box to aide in solving problems and generating solutions.
- Minimum of five (5) years in an industrial manufacturing setting preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to speak Spanish preferred
