Sofidel America is a subsidiary of the Sofidel Group, one of the leading manufacturers of paper for hygienic and domestic use worldwide. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a skilled Converting Production Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot converting equipment
  • Ensure efficient and safe machine operation to meet production goals and quality standards.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections, adjustments, and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team for complex equipment repairs and upgrades.
  • Monitor production processes, making necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and production data.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all tasks that operators need to perform to operate, maintain, and change over equipment successfully.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior operators and technicians.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification in machinery operation or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Converting Equipment Specialist or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting converting machinery.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to read equipment manuals and schematics.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures and practices.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
