To lead and support the daily operations of the Extrusion and Twister departments by ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This position is responsible for coordinating shift activities, maintaining process standards, supporting changeovers and machine operation, training team members, and promoting clear communication to ensure consistent production flow.

$19-$23/hour Depending on Experience

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Extrusion and Twister departments.
- Coordinate with the Extrusion Manager on changeovers, process adjustments, safety, and housekeeping requirements.
- Communicate with team members and manager to ensure smooth production flow.
- Maintain accurate daily production reports and work orders.
- Perform machine changeovers, including changing and building dies.
- Ensure Extrusion and Twister machines operate according to process standards and produce quality products.
- Start up and shut down machines following established procedures.
- Blend resin according to documented procedures.
- Package finished goods in compliance with required procedures.
- Perform quality assurance checks and process verification checks.
- Assist with training and onboarding of new operators.
- Provide coverage for employees’ meal and breaks.
- Assist with sub-assembly operations as needed.
- Follow all safety policies and company procedures.
- Must be able to work all shifts, including overtime as needed
- Ensure the building is secured and alarm systems are properly activated or deactivated at the end of the shift, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in extrusion and/or twister manufacturing operations preferred
- Prior lead or supervisory experience in a production environment preferred
- Strong understanding of machine processes
- Capable of maneuvering and lifting up to 50 lbs. frequently
- Standing and walking for long periods of time
- Ability to often stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
